Ellen Droog

PhD Candidate
PhD Candidate in the Department of Communication Science at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Ellen's project is called: 'Figurative language and figurative images in satire: Use and processing'.

Professor in Language and Communication at the Department of Dutch Studies at the Universiteit van Amsterdam (UvA). His research focuses on metaphor, genre, and language in discourse.

Professor in Media Psychology at the Department of Communication Science at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Her research focuses on social robots, emotions and media-based reality perceptions and media use among adolescents.

Co-supervisor Britta Brugman
Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Science at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. His main research focuses on how prejudice and stereotypes about social groups are subtly expressed in language use.
